Antipater of Sidon

fl. c. 130 BC

Antipater of Sidon was a Phoenician Greek epigrammatist active in the later second century BC. Cicero remembers him as a gifted improviser, and his surviving epigrams are largely epitaphs and dedications.

Only epigrams that Paton assigns to him by name are filed here; those headed merely “Antipater”, which Paton cannot place, stay with the anonymous file.
